A Little Prayer

Well the name says it all. I ve been too busy to update my blog because of some health issues and also we were again moving to a new state. I wasn't very  happy about the move this time :(.It was so bad and tough for me. But one thing that touched my heart the most was a small prayer from a very old man. The story goes like this... On our way to Memphis, TN we stopped over in Atlanta at a cousin's place. But due to my very bad health i had to rush to the emergency room (which scared me to death :( ) . Then a old man saw me crying, came to me consoled me and did a little prayer for me. I was like so so touched by this.He gave me some hope and i felt so relieved. He also gave me a hand written card which said everything would be fine and i would get well. It was a very wonderful feeling i had ever experienced. I just cannot express the way i felt in words. A total stranger in a totally different country praying for another total stranger :) There is humanity still left in this world :)

Octopus Fuss

Yesterday we went to a Greek restaurant for dinner. In the menu we came across grilled octopus. A dear friend of mine once told me that it would actually taste good. So i wanted to try it too and we ordered it. I was always scared of octopus... so various thoughts were running around in my head.What if they bring a whole octopus?? How would i be able to eat it?? What if they din't cook it well and it's still alive?? Would it actually get up and crush me up with its arms and EAT ME?????

But luckily none of it happened :).They just brought it's arms grilled (it was not alive ;) ) and it did taste good.. It was a bit like chicken but a little chewy. It was a good experience :) So I think you guys should taste it too..

Long Time!!!

It's been a long long time since i updated this blog. I was not feeling quite well because of my unexpected backache which din't even allow me to sit, so i had to lie down all the time and and boy it is not a very easy thing to do ;).Well what does this had to do with updating my blog???It s just that i was being a bit lazy and was just looking for reasons for not updating the blog :) :). So after like almost a week, i started hearing echos in my mind saying :Where's your blog...blog...blog...blog.. I started dreaming about my blog... I din't feel it was right to abandon her(my blog;)) just like that.. After all she's my best company and i would be dieing lonely without her ;)

So here I go with an update :)

My Food Blog

Yeh Finally!! I have launched Neelu's Cuisine successfully :). I put in all the recipes i tried on my dear husband. He is particularly safe and healthy. So you can try them out ;). It's still surprising to me that i am able to do these blogs because I never stick to the same thing for this long :) and I just love doing this stuff. I hope ki you will enjoy it too :)

Haunted House???

Yeh..I think my house is haunted.There's been some magic happening around here.For example my TV remote and one of my husband's pictures!!! I can't find them anywhere in my home now.They suddenly disappeared.I kept on searching every nook and corner of the house.It's been like almost 2 weeks now..and i still can't find them..It s kind of very fascinating to me, especially when i am a kind of person who doesn't believe in supernatural stuff!!!.How can things keep disappearing like that?Is that really possible??

Is my home really haunted???

Or is it just my bad memory??

Journey to Florida

Hiya friends... now that i ve told you that i moved back to Florida... i would also wanna tell you about how the journey was... It was a pretty good experience for me... We took an Auto train from Lorten Virginia... This one s so comfortable.. U can even take your automobile along ... it was kinda double decker train :).. I was so excited cos this was the first time travelling in a train in the US.. Then we had wine tasting inside the train... it was fun... and the sweetest part is that it was mostly old people travelling... they were all like so so cute.... and you know we met one old lady who must be around 80 yrs... she drove all the way from NY to the station(which is like more than 3-4hrs) alone and shes to drive again from Orlando to another place...God she was so pretty... I can't imagine my grand mom to be like that ;)... So now after almost 17 hrs in the train we got down at Sanford... drove to frds place ... had some lunch and started off to Miami which is like another 3 hr drive... Overall the experience was pretty good... I enjoyed the scenic views which i don t think u can see on a drive... 

Well i think you should all enjoy it too :)

Back To Florida

Hola dear friends!!!.. Im back in Florida..This time to Miami... Was so excited about moving here... cos i loved Tampa so much and wished Miami would be the same... But gosh its so different... It's full of Spanish people and i hardly got to see any Indians out here(except at an Indian restaurant)...I'm not surprised why people out here take us as spanish ;)..And i'ts like Spanish is the regional language here...Spanish Spanish and Spanish everywhere... New Jersey was much better in terms of Indian population ;).. I miss my friends out there.. But nevertheless hope to make new friends out here..and have lots of fun than before...Well here s a pic of the apartment im gonna live in..oh its so beautiful..

Mamma Mia.... Again!!!

Well... I watched Mamma Mia again today for the umpteenth time :).. what can i do?? i just can't get enough of it... and today i was watching behind the scenes.. and just got to know that the actors of the movie sung their own songs... yep .. Can u imagine Meryl Streep and the James Bond guy Pierce Brosnan singing and dancing???It s just awesome and cute...

I ve been compromising on a lot of things  and at one point of time i started getting frustrated about  life.. Due to my compromising, i lost so much of my life... The way i lead my life has totally changed... It s not the way i wanted it to be... due to the decisions i ve taken...  due to which i m left with nothing but regrets for the rest of my life... Some can be taken back and some are lost forever... now i can't go back in time and redo things...i ve decided not to compromise on anything not a thing from now on... i just wanna do what i feel like doing...and this time there s no turning back... and luckily i ve a good husband who supports me in everything... in fact he s the one who told me and keeps telling me to do what i wish to do... so this is my advice to all you guys out there... never never compromise... just do what your heart says to do... it might be a bit difficult but trust me its worth it...its your life and you have the right to stay happy... because life with regrets is the biggest punishment you can ever get...

Small Wonder

Heya guys.. I was just browsing and i happened to come across Small Wonder.. a serial which i used to watch when i was small.. i dunno how many of u remember it...It s a story about a family who happen to create a robot girl Viki(V.I.C.I acronym for Voice Input child Identicant). The Lawson family tries to keep the robot's existence a secret, but their disagreeable neighbours, the Brindles, keep on popping up at the most unexpected moments ;especially nosey red-headed girl-next-door Harriet and her parents, Bonnie and Brandon.. It was very fascinating to me about the robot girl.. It brought back memories of my childhood... I actually had to finish off my homework to watch this one.. Well on that note here s the title song of the show...

Getting Bored!!!

Its been like almost more than a week since i came here... and i ve already started to feel bored... I was like so addicted to the games on face book which now i ve reduced playing for so long... The thing is i ve so many ideas to kill time but wouldn't do any of them because im like so lazy ... so lazy that i chat online with my husband just from across the room... and my husband now a days is like so busy doing nothing but this..

 Poor me :(

After a long Trip To India

After 2 months of roaming around, finally i'm back home.. Now all i do is a lot of sleeping.. I' ve been so very tired.. But its all worth it... It was nice spending Sankranthi with my parents and in-laws... We went to Shilparamam in Hyd for Sankranthi and it was awesome fun... Then we got to go around inviting our relatives to my sis in law s wedding.. and then we were stuck up at home due the endless no of Bandhs in Hyd... then we got to go to Bangalore.. we spent a week there were i got to meet my dear grandpa...he was admitted at the hospital... then met some of my ex colleagues... Then as soon as i came back to my parents, we heard a very bad news abt my grandpa.. His death was what came as a very big shock to me and i m still unable to get out of it... But i m happy abt the fact that he saw me the previous week at blore... and he had a very pleasant death... Because of this i wasn't allowed to stay at my parents place since there was the wedding happening the next week... i was like missing my parents so much... but my in laws took care of me so much that i wasn't thinking abt my grandpa and wasn't missing my mom..

Anyways all this apart the wedding went well ..Since we had the reception in Kerala we decided to take a resort and houseboat and have fun... This is one thing that everybody should experience.. The resort was so so beautiful and had a very pleasant atmosphere... The exp in the houseboat was like awesome.. U can just forget the world and relax urself...

The worst part started after this trip... I was like so ill with all the cold and fever stuff and it was horrible.. This was followed by our trip to Dubai to stay with Sarat's pinni babai.. So they took us around the emirate...I just fell in love with the place... The buildings the architecture ..its all marvelously done... personally i never had this kind of impression abt Dubai or the other emirates... But ppl there are like very hard working.. such a development in such short span..Its just amazing... I wish i could have stayed longer but had to get back to the US.

Finally we reached home... and i was dieing to get loads of sleep.. and thats what i did the whole week :)
